Location: Round Rock, TX | This is first and foremost a forum for amateur astronomers of all skill levels. There are no dumb questions. Treat each other with respect. We were all beginners at one point. Most of all, have fun!
1. Please refrain from discussing political or religious topics of ANY kind. There are no subjects that will create ill will quicker than these. Posts that include references to politics and/or religion will be edited or deleted.
2. Solicitation and advertising for the purpose of selling goods and/or services is not permitted. For example posting that you have a telelscope for sale is not permitted. There are other sites out there to sell your gear. Links to items for sale on other websites in the context of a discussion is acceptable.
3. Vendor bashing is prohibited. You may discuss a problem as long as it's done in a civil manner.
4. If a post is edited or deleted, a reason for the action will be given to the original poster. Communicate with the administrator off list via the private messaging system if you have questions regarding an administrative decision.
Please do not use profanity and refrain from name-calling of any kind; please respect the likes and dislikes of others. Basically, as the old adage goes, "do unto others as you would do unto yourself". Most people do not intend to offend, so take the high road when responding to what may seem like an offensive post. We are all here to help each other and respect each other in regards to personal opinion or beliefs. Ask yourself whether you are crossing a line before making a post and if you are spending a lot of time thinking about it then you most likely you are.
