Does anyone know if the Orion SSAG would work on the old AP800 mount that does has the provision for the ST4 in the
control paddle. I have this old mount and would like to use it as part of a portable imaging setup but I'm not
sure if the SSAG is compatable .

Not a problem if it has the ST4 port.

The reason I ask is that the SBIG Relay Adapter Box is offered and I wasn't sure if my mount needed it.
There doesn't seem to be very many people using the SSAG with the ap800 mount. At least no one posts
any info on the internet. Sooo...thought I'd ask. I think the mount would work well enough for wide field
imaging. There are more modern mount available but since I have one I thought I'd use it. Thanks!

An older AP runs with similar electronics to the old Losmandys I think.
One nice thing about the SSAG is it's electrically isolated so the SBIG relay box isn't needed.
That's why I used one because I was running it with Losmandy G11 drive controllers.
It got fried by lightning and I replaced it with a Lode Star which is also isolated.
Lot more expensive camera though.
Anyway, the RJ14 cable plugs directly into the CCD port or what ever AP called theirs.
