I played around with C# the other night - hadn't touched it since grad school. I wrote a little piece of code, similar to AlsReticle, StarTarg, and others. If anyone's interested in trying it out, please let me know if it works for you. I've tried running it on Windows 7 and XP. It requires the .NET v 4.0 framework, which can be downloaded from microsoft.com.

I have some plans on having the software connect to the camera and turn the crosshairs according to detected star motion. But it might just take a while to get that up and running.

sounds like that could be a usefull tool...
