Ordered Monday afternoon, here Thursday morning! The guys at Agena are pretty fast, and gave me an extra 5/8" of material, hehe. Ordered the 10" square, and got 10 5/8" when I put the ruler up to it. I'm helping my buddy put a roof on a house. Man I hate shingling... I'm more of a flat-roofer, but gave that up late last year. We were crawling around up on a two story home for 12 hours yesterday, had to tear off 2 layers of shingles, and a layer of cedar shakes.... Then throw new decking down. Ugh. But when I got home I had some solar film waiting for me!!! Man that stuff is thin. Haven't constructed any filters yet, I'll probably be doing that this weekend or something. I held the sheet up to the sun, that was kinda cool.

I used carpet tape to mount the film and hold the two rings together. I then constructed a collar that fits over my scope and also holds the cell. If you want I'll be glad to post pictures when I get home.

But it's on the scope right now and I'm eyeballing a sunspot right now!!! I figured I wouldn't get it all together, and have the luck to get a clear sky. It's cloudy, but turning clear, so cool. Too bad I didn't bring the camera and laptop.
